The first basic Kadett C models were only fitted out with a lever behind the radiator grill to open the engine compartment, instead of the convenient hood release cable. It never took off, and was replaced after a short period with the well known normal hood release cable, with the ability to open the bonnet from inside the car. However, in the new century this (additional) opening has become a good gimmick and is favourably seen in the C-Kadetts. For this reason, we have reissued the lever for all 'indicator underneath' models, and also come up with a solution for the 'indicator above' Kadett C. The lever and the corresponding assembly materials are, as usual, a complete happy-pack, ready for assembly. And all of it is made of rust-free stainless steel. We've also powdered the visible section of the lever in a black matte, so that the part isn't too obvious behind the radiator grill.
The required hole behind the radiator grill, beneath the opening mechanism, is standard by all Kadett Cs!
