This is a matter of a steering sleeve, in order to protect the inner joint of the track rod and the steering box. The rubber comes from the manufacturer Spidan and is of wonderful quality. Unfortunately, Spidan only offers this sleeve with cable ties, which is why I have added the original Opel large spring clips to this set. Thus, after a successful reconstruction, not only is everything whole again, but more importantly also original and accordingly long-lasting.
