Kadett C
"Kadett C" has almost become synonymous with "race car" or "rally car" (not only) in the Opel scene. One of the most popular Opel models by far is the Opel Kadett C GT/E. This elegant coupe was the only Kadett C variant delivered with the 1.9L—and later the 2.0L—fuel-injected engine, and as the special “1000” model, it offered several additional extras. Of course, the other models were also equipped with special, very attractive features. The Kadett C Caravan “Pirsch,” for example, is now a sought-after station wagon, significantly rarer than the “1000” coupe. The “Winterfest,” a light-blue feast for the eyes, is now even being restored with the small OHV engine; in the 1990s, virtually all were converted to the significantly more powerful Cih engine technology. The Kadett C has matured into a recognized and highly sought-after classic car.
