This part may not usually break, however after 30 or 40 years of use, you're allowed to replace it as a preventative measure, as it is an essential part. Please be aware: Our brake light switch is mechanically suitable for almost all Opel rear-wheel drives, however there are electric differences: Depending on the year & model, different terminals, or electrical sockets, were used. This brake light switch is fitted out with the completely customary 6.3mm blade terminal, if necessary one can simply make the cable harness fit correspondingly in the hobby garage.
