8mm M9 Torx/hex combination screws, intake/exhaust manifolds, Opel 6-cyl. Cih
Opel, too, is innovative and realized decades ago that securing the M9 intake and exhaust manifolds with 15 mm hex bolts is actually a nightmare. So, instead of the standard hex bolt, they used a Torx screw on the 6-cylinder engines, which is significantly better. Especially when installation space is tight, this provides greater freedom and means less swearing.
But we’ve now gone a step further and developed a screw with a dual-drive mechanism. It can be tightened or loosened using a T30 Torx screwdriver or a space-saving 12 mm open-end or ring wrench. What a relief! We also went “all in” with this new design and added a guide tip, making “drilling into holes” totally easy and eliminating all that fumbling around...
The thick, captive washer is slightly smaller than those on hex head screws but a bit larger than those on Allen screws—the happy medium (20 mm), so to speak. This should allow for the perfect fastening of (Weber) carburetors, throttle body parts, or original intake manifolds, and of course exhaust manifolds or header manifolds.
Don’t forget—not everyone has a long T30 Torx in their toolbox, so we’ve also added that part directly from Hazet to our lineup.
Well then, happy tinkering ;-)
With this offer, you’re buying a set of 8 Torx-hex combination bolts for the intake and exhaust manifolds on a 6-cylinder Cih engine.
