This fantastic set offers an affordable way to restore oil pressure in Opel Cih engines! The original plastic piston and spring in the standard aluminum oil pump cover wear down significantly over time. As a result, the valve opens too early, causing oil pressure to drop.
This kit includes a new steel piston, which is slightly longer than the original plastic version. This not only improves the piston’s guidance but also increases the spring’s preload—and thus the oil pressure—because the relief valve opens later as a result.
To round out this kit, it includes a brand-new spring and two aluminum O-rings. — Why two O-rings? It’s simple: if you install both O-rings, the piston returns to its original length! If the oil pressure is still good, you can install it this way. For those whose oil pressure is unsatisfactory, only one of the O-rings is installed.
