Even on the best-maintained classic cars among our Mantas, Asconas, Kadetts, and others, the ravages of time really take their toll! The upper steering column bearing is located directly in the so-called steering column switch and often needs attention!—And it’s quick to replace: Remove the steering wheel, unscrew the steering column switch from the steering column, pull it off, and you can replace the bearing with absolutely no force required.
Even with this safety-critical part, the “edelschmiede” prioritizes quality: it’s an Opel genuine replacement part!
Yes, it’s true—we’ve offered this bearing before. But it hasn’t been readily available for over two years, so I’ve added it as a new item :-)
