Has the fuel gauge been showing “full” for several hundred kilometers, even though your old Opel is already acting up due to a lack of fuel? Is the temperature gauge acting erratically?—Then you’ve just found the problem: the old, electromechanical voltage regulator has breathed its last and is defective!
This part—which was already questionable even when new—is usually no longer reliable after 30 or more years. The electronic version offered here, on the other hand, doesn’t lie! If the fuel gauge starts pointing toward empty in the future, head straight to the nearest gas station!
We’ve had this regulator remanufactured using the latest electronic technologies—it’s a truly high-quality part. Unfortunately, you can’t see that once it’s installed. But you can tell by the gauges always showing the correct reading! :-)
edelschmiede Info: This component is installed exactly as we deliver it—that is, without the original metal cover! With the old gauge, the cover was absolutely necessary because it was an electromechanical component. We supply a fully electronic component that works perfectly just as is.
