If you convert an engine from an automatic to a manual transmission, then exactly this very important part is missing, the pilot bearing. This is a matter of a one sided, sealed needle bearing, into which the transmission input shaft is stuck. Even when changing the clutch, you should renew this bearing, when it is defective it doesn't just make a lot of grinding noise, rather in the worst case scenario it can damage the clutch, which is just not worth it!
This part is an Opel original part in the corresponding quality, not a substandardly manufactured part without integrated seal!
