New stickers for old Opels
Stickers are as usual popular in the edelschmiede, so at last we are able to offer a ECE authorisation symbol for the Ascona & Manta B, with more to follow soon. The sticker ’beste Zapfpistolenlage‘ is now also available to be stuck on the petrol cap cover, so that it can return to its original state and we can occasionally send the spouse to fill up…
Lightening power is the next topic of interest, as we now have suitable ignition cables for all of our engines on offer. The cables for the 4-cylinder cih engine have been a popular item since the start of the edelschmiede, as was the set for the 6-cylinder cih. We now have two different sets for the OHV engines, one for the Kadett B & C and one for the Manta / Ascona A & B, as well as a set for the 24V / C30SE engine. With these, the sparks should once again fly without fault 😉
So that we once again have something useful to install, we have a complete ”Installation kit for the Panhard bar“ for that tidy little number on the rear axle. Included in this set are, first of all, new (rubber) sockets, as well as the freshly reproduced inner nozzle for one of the sockets, naturally galvanised, with all the required pieces for attachment. – The thing that isn’t available for installation at the moment is the ‘Generator tensioner “deluxe”’, as it is completely sold out. Which is great! In the near future we will be having more pieces produced, so that the ‘tension-ing’ can start afresh.
Water cooler plus accessories in “New”!
Before it is once again (too) hot, at last we can offer you brand new coolers for the following models:
In each case, these are in the ‘big’ option for the larger cih models, all of these are in stock as of now. These ice-makers can of course be used in the smaller cih models too. For that particular installation task, we have had something suitable for a while now : the ’cooler installation kit’ in the edelschmiede web-shop. To seal up this part, we have a very nice, chrome-plated radiator cap here. In case it is still too hot, then an appropriate radiator fan, either IN FRONT OF the cooler or BEHIND the cooler, is the royal road to professionally beating the heat. – Soon to be on the order forms is a complete, prefabricated cable harness, in order to attach the radiator fan. With this, even an electrical amateur can fit a modern fan without any problems, temperature switch and relays included. As of now, the brass threaded socket is available for delivery, which you solder onto the cooler in order to properly place the temperature switch.

One last treat for the road: the spring for the hinge of the petrol cap cover in the Kadett C Coupé. This part is always broken, and, when offered at all on eBay, the prices soar to astronomical levels. Now available in the edelschmiede for a much more reasonable 7,95€ in stainless steel 🙂
